RONNIE ‘BUTCH’ MOTE

Ronnie Lance Mote (Butch), at the age of 71, passed away on June 6, 2022, while doing what he loved the most, harvesting. He was born June 15, 1950, to AJ & Melva Dean Mote of Amherst, TX. Butch graduated from Amherst High School in 1968.

He started custom harvesting, with his family, at a young age and realized that is what brought him happiness. He traveled many miles every year through Texas, Kansas, Colorado, and Wyoming.

Butch enjoyed watching old western movies, driving the back roads, and telling stories with his hands.

A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at the Amherst Methodist Church.

In leu of flowers memorials may be given to Amherst EMS and Fire Department at P.O Box 58, Amherst, TX 79312. Arrangements were under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.
