ROGELIO SAENZ

Rogelio Saenz, 86, of Littlefield passed away Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2022 at home. He was born Jan. 4, 1936 alongside his twin brother, Robert, to Julian Saenz and Guadalupe Rodriquez in Tamaulipas, Mexico.

Rogelio married Hilaria Garcia Feb. 18, 1995 in Anton. He was a hard worker with a strong work ethic. He worked in road construction, and as a farmer, before working at American Cotton Growers and then at Tolk Station, where he retired after 25 years as a foreman. He earned his GED and put great emphasis on the importance of education. He enjoyed fishing and was a meticulous carpenter. He was a devout Catholic. He attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Littlefield where he served as a Knight of Columbus and an usher.

Mass will be recited at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2022 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Littlefield with Father Angelo Consemino officiating. Interment will follow in Littlefield Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Jeffery Rojas, Scott Rojas, Daniel Rojas, Danny Marquez, Johnny Vargas and Danny DeLeon. Rosary was recited Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.
