Paul A. Martinez, Sr., 83, of Olton, TX, passed away Friday, June 27, 2025, in Lubbock. Funeral services were held Saturday morning, July 12, 2025, at Olton Methodist Church, with Rev. Rosario Gonzalez officiating and under the care of Ramage Funeral Directors.
Paul was born June 24, 1942, in New Braunfels, TX, to Ignacio and Maria (Abrego) Martinez. He married Susan Daniels on July 16, 1980.
A longtime Olton resident, Paul worked at Givens Texaco in Olton for over 25 years and for many years in maintenance and as a bus driver for Olton ISD. He proudly served as a volunteer firefighter in Olton for many years as well. Paul enjoyed westerns, music, and animals. He also had a special fondness for owls and the Washington Redskins.
He is survived by his two sons; two daughters; his goddaughter; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother; and a sister.
He was preceded in death by his wife; and his parents; and two brothers.
