Minnie Lee Carpenter, 101, of Littlefield passed away December 19, 2022 in Amherst. She was born October 21, 1921 in Cheek,Oklahoma to Elmer and Mable Wallace.
She moved to Littlefield with her family at a young age where she lived most of her life. She was employed by CR Anthony and later as the bookkeeper at Brittain Pharmacy, until she retired in 1982. She was a member of the First Baptist Church Littlefield.
She is survived by her husband Charles (Chock) Carpenter; four children, Connie Priddy of Highlands Ranch, CO, Vickie Pierce (Quinton) of McKinney, TX, Ray Dinges (Nannette) of Arnold, Mo and Steve Dinges (Sandy) of Littlefield. Three step children, Todd Carpenter, Charla Carpenter, and Lance Carpenter of Amherst. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Grover Dinges; a granddaughter, Shasta Schroetlin; and son-in-law, Jim Priddy. Her parents; four sisters; and two brothers also preceded her in death.
She willed her body to the Texas Tech University Health Science Program. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
