Michael Jay Williams

In Loving Memory Of  Michael Jay Williams

May 29, 1953 ~ May 25, 2025

Michael Jay Williams was born May 29, 1953, to Ann and J.I. Williams of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. After J.I.'s passing, he was raised in Anton, Texas by Ann and Boyd Goen. He was greeted in heaven by his grandparents, parents and his nephew, Casey Gregg.

Mike passed away on May 25th just shy of his 72nd birthday.

Mike attended Anton High School and later graduated from Lubbock Barber College, where he honed his skills as a talented hair stylist. At family gatherings, it wasn't uncommon to see a line forming-each person eagerly awaiting their turn for a fresh cut and style from Mike.

A lifelong lover of fishing, Mike believed life was better on the water catching fish. He lived at Lake Stamford and enjoyed the simple life of catching and cleaning fish and spending time with his dog and friends. He inherited his sense of humor from his mother and father and always managed to have a good time with a quick wit.

He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Ray and husband, Neal of Littlefield; three granddaughters: Brinleigh Kirkland and her husband, Kaiden of Granbury, Brynna Ray of San Angelo and Bryndle Ray of Littlefield; sister, Charlotte Gregg and husband, Ray of Tulsa; brother, Johnny Williams and wife, Jody of Lubbock; Joan Williams of Littlefield; niece, Jill Davis and husband, Galli of Aledo; niece, Julie Hubik and husband, Jacob of Lubbock; four great nephews, four great nieces and one great-great niece.

Mike was laid to rest on the same day he entered this world. Services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Grace Chapel in Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield with nephews, Galli Davis and Jacob Hubik, officiating. He will be laid to rest next to his parents at Anton Cemetery immediately following the service. Pallbearers include Kaiden Kirkland, Galli Davis, Jacob Hubik, Jaxon Davis, Hays Hubik and Will Hubik.

Arrangements are under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home.
