Marilyn Merrifield Holly, 77, of White Deer went home to be with Jesus on Monday, February 6, 2023 in her home at White Deer.

Marilyn was born in Littlefield on June 26, 1945 to Horace and Louise Merrifield. She was the third of four children and was loved by her siblings. Marilyn graduated from Littlefield High School in 1963. While growing up, was a member of the First Baptist Church of Littlefield.

Marilyn married Wallace Holly in 1963 and was employed by White Deer ISD for 36 years. She was a constant fixture at all the White Deer Bucks sporting events. Marilyn loved watching Texas Tech and the Kansas City Chiefs but most of all loved watching her sons and nephews play football and baseball. She loved shopping and taking trips with her siblings and their families. Marilyn was always the life of the party and could always be counted on for a good laugh.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Louise Merrifield; and infant daughter, Teresa Dawn.

She is survived by her husband, Wallace; two sons, Rob Holly and wife, Holly of Pampa, and Alan and wife, Jennifer of Lubbock; a sister, Judy Trotter and husband, Bruce of Littlefield; two brothers, Jimmy Merrifield of Littlefield, Royce Merrifield and wife, Rhesa of Littlefield; four grandchildren; and five great- grandchildren. She adored her one niece and seven nephews as her own.

Services were held Saturday, February 11, 2023, at First Baptist Church in White Deer.
