Maria Hernandez, 72, of Littlefield passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2023 in Lubbock. She was born January 20, 1953 in Littlefield, Texas to Jose and Longinia Hernandez.

Maria loved music and enjoyed singing. She adored jewelry. She was always up for garage sale shopping. She liked to gamble, she especially enjoyed bingo and dice. She looked forward to her coffee and having a smoke. She believed in God. She was known for her giving heart and loved to help anyone in need.

Maria is survived by her son, Eloy Garcia, Jr and wife, Maria of Littlefield, Texas; two daughters, Sandra Garcia of Littlefield, Texas and Amy Trevino and husband, Rodney of Littlefield, Texas; a son-in-law, Joe Roman of Littlefield, Texas; two brothers, Joe Hernandez and Jesse Hernandez both of Littlefield, Texas; three sisters, Virginia Hernandez of Littlefield, Texas, Angela Milears of Littlefield, Texas and Yolanda Ornealas of Dallas, Texas; fourteen grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Molly Roman; two sisters, Gloria Lovato and Belen Lovato; three brothers, Maurice Hernandez, Catarino Hernandez and Felix Hernandez; and three grandchildren. Visitation was held on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at Grace Chapel in Hillcrest Funeral Home. Arrangements were under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.
