MARIA G. LONGORIA

Maria “ Mary” Antonia G. Longoria, 80, of Littlefield, Texas passed away Friday, February 23, 2024 in Lubbock. She was born August 16, 1943 in Fentress, Texas.

Mary was a migrant worker from Lockhart, and met Isabel Longoria, Jr. on September 30, 1963 and were and married in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church on January 31, 1964. The couple had three children, Elizabeth, Hector and Randy-, who all attended Littlefield Schools. She devoted her time to the Catholic Church, where she directed many plays with small children for Christmas, with teenagers for The Passion of Christ and adults in “La Virgen de Guadalupe”. She also sang in the Spanish Mass choir since 1980. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church for over 50 years, where she served as a Guadalupana, was a Cursillista and held many “Posadas”. She loved playing 31 and winning, and she enjoyed sweets.

Funeral Mass was held Thursday morning, February 29, 2024 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Littlefield with Father Jeff Church officiating. Interment followed in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Littlefield. Rosary was recited Wednesday evening at Grace Chapel in Hillcrest Funeral Home. Arrangements were under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.
