In Loving Memory Of Warren Huey Rudd

Graveside service for Warren Huey Rudd, age 91, of Houston, Texas, was held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Sudan Cemetery with Dr. Stacy Conner of Muleshoe, Texas officiating. Warren died Friday, July 1, 2022 in Houston. He was born April 1, 1931 in Sudan to Huey and Nell Sue (Walker) Rudd.

Warren was a tall gentleman, a scholar and a musician. He proudly joined the military at the age of 17, by walking more than 50 miles to Clovis, New Mexico, where the nearest post was located. Warren honorably served his country, as all of his forefathers had done before him, whether coming home alive or dying for our freedom. He began his military career in WWII, and continued through the Korean Conflict as a Federal Aviation Pilot, Radio Technician and Code Breaker. Warren was fluent in German, Japanese and Korean, a trait he picked up during his time in the service. He continued to pilot private and commercial airplanes after the wars.

He is preceded in death by the love of his life of over 60 years, Glenda Edwards; his father; his mother and step-father, Charles Alvin Epps; and many other proud Rudd patriots.

Warren is survived by many proud and thankful nieces and nephews, who miss him greatly.
