In Loving Memory Of Julia E. Oakley Bullard

Julia Esther Kathleen Oakley Bullard, 76, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 20, 2022, after a short illness.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Anton Cemetery. Arrangements by Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield, Texas.

Kathy was born January 2, 1946, in Bonham, Texas to Esther and O.D. Oakley and was the middle of three children.

Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband Truman Bullard; and her granddaughter, Angela Harrell.

Kathy is survived by her sisters, Phyllis Taylor and her husband, Bruce and Clara Ann Young, and her children Phillip and Brenda Bullard of Lubbock and Roger and Sissy Harrell of Anton. Her surviving grandchildren include Jenalee Harrell, Chad and Amanda and their kids Haidyn and Tate Harrell, Noah and Madonna Bullard, Jonah Bullard, and Sarah Bullard.

Kathy was raised in Anton, Texas, where she graduated high school as an Anton Bulldog. She married her high school sweetheart, Truman Bullard, in 1963. They lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where their son, Phillip was born. They moved to Las Vegas, New Mexico and had their daughter, Sissy. They eventually moved to Lubbock before moving back to Anton to raise their family.

Kathy was a devout Christian and a loving sister, mother, and grandmother. She was a talented seamstress, owning and operating Hartmates Baby Interiors in Anton for a while, and also retired as a USPS rural mail carrier. She spent many of her years caring for the Anton Cemetery. Her favorite activities included playing with her grandchildren, working in her yard, and enjoying time with her family.
