Lillie Mae (Rankin) McCoy, 88, longtime resident of Spade, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Friday, November 11, 2022 in Littlefield.

She was born August 18, 1934 in Littlefield to Arthur and Eunice (Webb) Rankin.

Lillie met her sweetheart Gayle McCoy, and from a simple wink of an eye, a true love story was born. The couple were married on October 25, 1952 in Clovis, New Mexico and were blessed to share 70 years together.

Lillie's greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was an excellent cook and made the best homemade cinnamon rolls. Lillie enjoyed growing vegetables in her garden and would spend hours canning the fruits of her labor. She also loved flowers, and took great care tending to her beautiful flower beds. She was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church.

Lillie is survived by her husband, Gayle McCoy of Spade; four children, Debra Hairston of Rockwall, Texas, Sherry Burchfield and husband, Jay of Spade, Randy McCoy and wife, Dinah of Littlefield and Tammy Doolittle and husband, Darwin of Levelland; grandchildren, Shane Hairston and wife, Kathryn of Midlothian, Texas, Misty Walters and husband, Ted of Fate, TX, Macy Vuicich and husband, Jerod of Ropesville, Texas, Marta Bettis and husband, Chris of Plano, Texas, Madalyn Rees of Littlefield, and Heather Burchfield of Lubbock; great grandchildren, Sydney, Samantha, Dalton, Raegan, Creed, Channing, Chadley, Zady, Zanndy, Barrett, Blair and Allison; two sister, Nina Smith and Lola Reed both of Olton; a brother, Rudolph Rankin and wife, Lynda of Miami, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Cody Doolittle; her parents; four brothers and two sisters.

Celebration of Life Services were held Wednesday afternoon, November 16, 2022 at Grace Chapel. Arrangements were under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.
