Leatha Shrrie Warden, 54, of Anton, TX, passed way on Friday, June 19, 2020 in Lubbock. She was born Oct. 18, 1965 in Nashville, TN to Gary Bruce Warden and Ruth Ann Shelledy.

Leatha was a career student who was highly educated and never stopped learning. She was presently attending Texas Tech University for her Medical Masters Degree and made the Presidents List for last semester. She was also a licensed child psychologist, a hostage negotiator and served many years as the Chaplain for the Brownwood Law Enforcement departments. Leatha currently attended Trinity Church in Littlefield. She loved animals, big and small, and enjoyed riding horses, gardening and fishing.

She is survived by four brothers, Gary Warden and wife, Tina of Anton, Allen Shelledy and wife, Janene of St. Louis, MO, Jason Owen of Vanhorn, TX and Jonathan Warden of Seattle, WA; a sister, Lynn Shelledy of Springfield, MO; nieces and nephews, Jonathan Warden, Wyatt Warden, Amanda Patzkowsky, Brooke Shelledy and Morgan Shelledy; and other extended family members.

Waiting for her in Heaven was her parents; and a nephew, Billy Joe Warden.

Celebration of Life Services were held at 1 p.m., Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Grace Chapel in Littlefield with Micheal Simpson and Manuel Roque officiating. Interment followed in Anton Cemetery. Arrangements were under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.

Serving as pallbearers were Wyatt Warden, Jonathan Warden, Gary Warden, Allen Shelledy, Matthew Buchanan, Jeff Avery, Cody Hollingsworth, Luis Guerrero and honorary pallbearer Rick Avery.
