Lalo Sierra, 84, of Littlefield passed away Thursday, July 1, 2021 in Littlefield. He was born March 25, 1937 in Millett, TX to Guadalupe Sierra and Pascuala Florez Sierra.

Lalo married the love of his life, Josefina Carrion on April 1, 1957 in Littlefield. He was a hard and dedicated worker, who worked tirelessly to provide for his family. He worked several years in the 60’s at Littlefield Delinting, and then worked with Charles Hines Farms for many years until he retired at 73. He took pride in his yard and could often be found outside tending to it. Lalo also spent many hours keeping his pickup immaculate. He attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church where he was very active and served as a Guadalupano. Most of all he was a loving husband, father, grandpa and Welo.

Lalo is survived by three sons, Luis Sierra and wife, Irma of Lubbock, Danny Sierra and wife, Delores of Littlefield, and Tony Sierra and Ester Cantu of Lubbock; two daughters, Mary Angela Rodriguez and husband, Randy of Lubbock and Sandra Reyes and husband, Martin of Littlefield; eight grandchildren and six step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and 11 step-grandchildren; a brother, Alfredo F. Sierra of El Paso; and two sisters, Ophelia DeLeon of Erick, OK and Almira Guzman of Dallas, TX.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Josefina Sierra; his parents; three brothers, Andres Sierra, Aldolfo Sierra and Juan Sierra; and a sister, Anita Guzman.

Funeral Mass was celebrated at 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Emiliano Zapata officiating. Interment followed at Littlefield Memorial Park cemetery. Rosary was recited Monday evening at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.

Serving as pallbearers were Luis Sierra, Tony Sierra, Randy Rodriguez, James Rodriguez, Thomas Reyes, Gabriel Reyes, Eric Sierra and Lucas Sierra. Honorary pallbearers were Adam Rodriguez, Evan Reyes, Martin Reyes and Mason Reyes.

The family would like express their deep gratitude for the loving care their father received from the staff at Arbor Grace Wellness Center.
