Littlefield passed away Friday, February 11, 2022 in Lubbock. She was born April 4, 1943 in Levelland, Texas to Bryant and Hazel (Wright) Armour.

Karen worked for many years at Littlefield ISD in the old Primary School building. She then worked as a security guard at American Cotton Growers for 10 years. She enjoyed cross-stitching, sewing and painting. She also was an avid reader and liked to watch old western movies on TV. Karen loved her family and friends and being a ‘Mema’. Everyone called her ‘Mema’, whether they were related, or not. She liked gathering and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of Trinity Church in Littlefield.

Karen is survived by a son, Douglas Franklin and wife, Rebecca of Amarillo; four daughters, Debbie Scott of Littlefield, Coleta Dawkins and husband, Tony of Amarillo, Charla Martinez of Lubbock and LaRhonda Hill and husband, Rick of Sudan; twelve grandchildren, Anni Sue Mackey, Charity Tweed, Milly Joann Franklin, Kyle Franklin, LaShonda Castillo, LaShayla Hinojosa, Dylan Dawkins, Todd Franklin, Nicki Ramirez, Joseph Martinez, Crystal Davis and Kort Hill; twenty-six great grandchildren; a brother, Charles Armour and wife, Joyce of Brentwood, TN; three sisters, Delores Bryant of Lubbock, Jo Tate and husband, Charles of Anton and Charlotte Sanders and husband, Mike of Murfreesboro, TN; a special aunt, Jewel Durham of Littlefield; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her dog, Buttons.

Services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Trinity Church in Littlefield with Pastor Billy Montes officiating. Interment followed in Littlefield Memorial Park cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Todd Franklin, Joseph Martinez, Kyle Franklin, Kort Hill, Dylan Dawkins, Coldon Land and Robert Mackey III.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made in Karen’s honor to Sudan EMS and Fire Department or to Littlefield EMS. Arrangements were under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.
