Karen DeLynn Bush, 77, of Littlefield, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones at her home in Littlefield.
Karen was born in Littlefield to Eldred Adair and Ina Electa (Sis) Bishop on August 29, 1945. She grew up in Anton and attended Anton schools. She married Tommy Bush on November 1, 1962, in Anton at her parent's house. She was a skilled homemaker and dedicated caregiver of their late daughter for over 50 years. She loved to travel to anywhere new, but Colorado was her favorite. She was a skilled seamstress creating clothes and blankets for her children, grandchildren, and friends; enjoyed working in her flower beds and garden each spring with her husband; and her cooking was loved by everyone who tried it. She most enjoyed being 'Nana' to her grandchildren who came to visit during the summers or whenever possible teaching them to sew, bake, read, play outside, board games, or make crafts TV was never an option at Nana's house.
Karen is survived by her husband, Tommy Bush; two children, Ricky Bush and wife, Klisha of Tomball, and Rhonda Weaver and husband, Donnie of Fredericksburg; five grandchildren, Keyla McGuire and husband, Sean of Henreitta, DeLynn Butler of Littlefield, Rhett Butler, of Hobbs, N.M., Kaeli Bush and fiancé, Nathan of Weatherford, and Brighton Butler of Canyon; one greatgrandson, Kelton McGuire; one brother, Duran Bishop and wife, Ann of Denton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Karen was preceded in death by her daughter, Tammie Bush; brother, Doyle Bishop; and her parents.
A celebration of life service was held at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Grace Chapel in Hillcrest Funeral Home with Rodney Richardson officiating. Interment followed at Anton Cemetery. Pallbearers were Keyla McGuire, Sean McGuire, DeLynn Butler, Rhett Butler, Kaeli Bush, and Brighton Butler. Arrangements were under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.
