Judith Anne (Houk) Kirchdorfer departed peacefully to be with our Lord on March 28, 2021, at the age of 77.

Born in Littlefield, on April 12, 1943, she spent her childhood there with her loving parents and three brothers, before striking out to pursue her dreams. She returned frequently before settling in Benbrook, Texas, with her now late husband, Lou. After his passing, she most recently lived in Estancia, New Mexico with her eldest son, Philip, and his family.

A talented and creative spirit at heart, she was never happier than when she was creating, except perhaps when she was enjoying her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her countless talents included woodworking, pottery, sewing, and foremost amongst them, painting. A voracious reader, she surrounded herself with books and magazines, taking every opportunity to learn about crafting, cooking, gardening or studying the many places she dreamed of visiting.

Preceded in death by her husband, Louis Kirchdorfer, her parents, Max and Forrest Houk, and her youngest brother, Richard Houk, she is remembered by many surviving relatives, including her brother and sister-in-kaw, Kenneth and Janet Houk, life-long residents of Littlefield; her brother and sister-in-law, Howard and Myreta Houk, of San Angelo; her sister-in-law, Ann Smith, of Flower Mound; her son and daughter-in-law, Philip and Lillian Casados, of Estancia, New Mexico; her son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Dara Casados, of San Antonio; her son, Jeff Reese, of Fort Worth; grandchildren: Alycia Casanova, Jenna Caruso, Dana Casados, Matthew Reese, Jared Casados, Megan Reese, Cienna Casados, Kymber Casados, and Lolita Casados; and 12 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a step-daughter, Alicia Yanez, and her three children, Ariel, Alex, and Gabrielle; and a step-son, Shawn Kirchdorfer, and his two children, Aaron and Jillian.

Friends and family will gather in Littlefield to celecrate Judy’s life at a future date.
