Jose Antonio “Tony” Jimenez, 62, of Olton, died Monday, July 22, 2024, at his home in Olton, TX. Graveside services were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Olton Cemetery, with Mr. Jerry Lopez and Brother David Azam officiating and under the care of Ramage Funeral Directors.
Tony was born Nov. 30, 1961, in Olton, to Raymundo and Paula (Rocha) Jimenez. He graduated from Olton High School in 1980. On Oct. 20, 1989, he married Sanny Salas. He was a carpenter, electrician, plumber, mechanic, and more. Tony worked at Given’s Texaco for 20 years, Hall Lumber for 13 years, and the Olton Housing Authority for eight years. He was also the owner and operator of T&S Carwash and Flats from 2008 to 2015.
Tony was a former captain with the Olton Volunteer Fire Department for over 17 years and was named Fireman of the Year. He also served on the Olton City Council. He enjoyed playing golf, and smoking ribs and briskets.
Tony was preceded in death by his father; two brothers; and a nephew. Survivors include his mother; his wife; five sons; three brothers; two sisters; 12 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
