JOHN CASTILLO

John Castillo, 78, of Littlefield passed away Feb. 8, 2023 in Amherst. He was born July 29, 1944 in Littlefield to Marcelino Castillo and Juanita Reyes Castillo.

John quit school in the 8th grade to work on the farm, because even at an early age he was dedicated to providing for his family. His strong work ethic continued throughout his whole life. He married Maria Socorro Feb. 25, 1982. John was funny and loved to make people laugh. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 11, 2022 at Grace Chapel. Interment followed in Littlefield Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Rey Longoria, Gilbert Esquibel, Robert Hinojosa, Chris Polando, Vincent Longoria and Gabriel Montalvo. Arrangements were under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.
