Church service for Joe Angel Everett, Jr., 79, of Sudan, is scheduled for 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 9, 2019 at First Baptist Church in Earth with Paul Ramon and Angie Castillo offiiating.

Burial will be in Earth Memorial Cemetery, with Ellis Funeral Home of Earth in charge of arrangements.

Joe died Friday, Nov. 1, 2019 in Sudan. He was born April 13, 1940, in Orange, Texas to Joe Angel and Dominga (Olivarez) Everett.

He married Oralia De La Garza in Dimmitt, on Aug. 22, 1963.

Joe farmed for many years. He enjoyed playing the accordion and was well known for his musical skills.

He is preceded in death by a son, Jose Alfredo Quiroga; his parents; three sisters, Beatrice Alcala, Julia De La Garza and Eva Alcala; and a brother, Guadalupe (Lupe) Olivarez. Joe is survived by his wife, Oralia; his four sons, Joel Angel Everett of Hereford, Jeremy Angel Everett and his wife, Andrea of Lubbock, and Joe Angel Everett III of Earth; his two daughters, Patricia Ann Castillo and her husband, Carlos of Earth, and Jo Ann Gardea and her husband, Hector of Progress; a sister, Lucia Garcia of Lubbock; his four brothers, John Everett of Earth, Raymond Everett of Floydada, Noah Everett of Amarillo, and David Everett of Farwells; 17 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society, 3513-10th Street, Lubbock, TX, 79415.
