Feris Foley Nov. 14, 1953 - Jan. 2, 2019
Feris Foley, 65, of Littlefield passed away Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019 in Littlefield. Memorial ser- vices will be 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019 at Grace Chapel in Littlefield. Cremation arrange- ments are under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield. He was born Nov. 14, 1953 in Littlefield to Art and Nadine (Bryan) Foley. Feris graduated from Littlefield High School in 1972. He worked for Plant X for several years and then Tolk Station, from which he retired Dec. 30, 2016. Feris enjoyed the freedom of retirement and being able to do as much or as little as he wanted. He was an avid gun collector and liked buying, selling and trading guns. He also enjoyed going target shooting with family and regular trips to Cabelas with Bryan and Katherine. Anyone who knew Feris knew he was an anti-politician, quick witted and kind hearted man. He gave the best bear hugs and was often called the gentle giant. He was a Texan through and through and loved Texas history. He also inherited an interest in Foley genealogy from his mom and dad. Feris was a wonderful grandpa and loved his grandchildren. Feris is survived by a son, Bryan Foley and fiancée, Katherine of Lubbock; a daughter, Dee Wright and husband, Mark of Aledo, TX; five grandchildren, Hayden Wright, Raegan Wright, Connor Foley, Matthew Miller and Zachary Miller; mother, Nadine Foley of Littlefield; three brothers, Steve Foley and wife, Pam of Amarillo, Joe Foley and wife, Janet of Uvalde, and Dan Foley and wife, Sherri of Littlefield; nieces and nephews, Tucker Foley and Tanner Foley both of Littlefield, Harper Foley of Washington, Jeremy Qualls and Melanie Gray both of Amarillo; and his cat Maddie. He was preceded in death by his dad, Art Foley. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, or Littlefield EMS.
