Doyle Franklin Bishop, age 78, of Littlefield, Texas passed away Thursday, February 10, 2022. He was born August 14, 1943 in Anton, Texas to Adair and Electa Bishop.

Doyle was a member of the local Boy Scouts and ran the hurdles in high school. In his early career he worked for his father’s business, Bishop’s Drilling, where he helped drill water wells around the Littlefield area. He later became a master electrician where he serviced Littlefield and the surrounding areas for many years. He took great pride in his work as an electrician and built many relationships due to him going above and beyond to make sure his clients were satisfied. Doyle could also be seen operating Bishop’s Car Wash which he purchased from his father. He had a great appreciation for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing alongside his friends and family, cheering on his kids in motocross, supporting his grandkids, nieces and nephews with 4-H and FFA, attending local sport and band events, growing his own produce over the years, and maintaining his lawn. Everyone knew Doyle as the social butterfly that could be easily spotted in his staple shiny red Chevy pickup truck.

Doyle is survived by his loving wife, Eulinda Bishop, married on October 5th, 1973; three children, Monte Bishop and wife, Carissa, Marsha Cook and husband, Jimmy, and Tracy Gage; eleven grandchildren, Dakota Gage, Dillon Gage, Daphne Gage, Trinity Gage, Stephanie Burchinal and husband, Justin, Andrew Hampton, Averi Cook, Tori Bishop, Payton Bishop, and Caeli Bishop; two great grandchildren, Ellie Burchinal, and Noah Burchinal; a brother, Duran Bishop and wife, Ann; a sister Karen Bush and husband, Tommy; several nieces and nephews; and numerous friends that are considered family.

He was preceded in death by his very special niece, Tammy Bush; and his loving parents, Adair and Electa Bishop.

Services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, February 17, 2022 at First Baptist Church in Littlefield, TX with Gary Boles officiating. Interment will follow in Littlefield Memorial Park cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.
