Doug McDonald, 71, of Anton, TX, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2024, in Lubbock, TX. He was born Oct. 1, 1952, in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England to Earl and Serilda (June) Phillips. He married Roberta Sue Harris on May 4, 1973, in Tahoka, TX.
Doug worked retail for TG&Y for 24 years before going to work and later retiring from American Turbine Pump as the inventory manager. He was a computer hobbyist and enjoyed astronomy, space exploration, and space launches. He was a collector of things and a music buff. He enjoyed all genres of music. He was a wizard in the kitchen, making meals from whatever was available.
Doug is survived by his wife; two sons; two brothers; a sister; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Grace Chapel (1305 Phelps Ave) in Littlefield, TX. A private interment will happen at a later date. Funeral arrangements are under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield, Texas.
