CRUZ H. GARCIA

Cruz H. Garcia, 81, of Littlefield, Texas, passed away Monday, March 19, 2024 in Littlefield. She was born September 14,1942 to Jesus and Clare Garcia. She married Doroteo ‘Teo’ Garcia September 28, 1968.

Cruz was a mighty woman of faith who read her Bible daily. She was a devout member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a Currsillista. She enjoyed cooking and was known for her tamales. She liked to sing and dance. She was a talented embroiderer, seamstress and gardener. She loved roses. She liked basketball, she especially liked the San Antonio Spurs and the Chicago Bulls (when Michael Jordan played). She liked telling jokes and stories.

Funeral mass was held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Church officiating. Rosary was said Friday evening at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers were Jonathan Rangel, Stephen Rangel, Anthony Mendez, Tobias Mendez, Alex Mendez, and Gilbert Garcia, with Chris Zamora serving as honorary pallbearer. Funeral arrangements were under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.
