Consuelo Aguilar Cantu

Consuelo "Connie" Aguilar Cantu, 70, of Littlefield, Texas, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025. She was born on February 20, 1955, in Sidney, Nebraska to Louis and Manuela Aguilar.

Connie married Ernest Cantu Jr. on September 3, 2018, in Levelland, Texas. She tended to their home and was a great mother to their children. She kept herself busy cleaning and cooking. Her family states that she was known for her great cooking. She enjoyed being a grandmother and was loved by her grandkids. Connie loved watching soap operas. Everyone in her family knew how much she loved angels and ceramics. Shopping was something she loved to pass the time with. Her home companion was JoJo, her dog. Her favorite holiday to celebrate was Christmas because it brought her family together. Her family remembers her fierce fighting spirit. Connie was a hard-working woman. For over fifteen years, Connie worked at the American Cotton Growers plant in Littlefield, Texas. She also had experience as a caregiver. Furthermore, Connie worked at Littlefield Knights Nursing Home and later at Littlefield Nursing and Rehab.

Those left to cherish her memory are her two daughters Marlena Hernandez of Littlefield, Texas, Marlo Hernandez and spouse Michael Padilla of Littlefield, Texas; son, Ernest Cantu; grandchildren, Adam and wife Alex Armstrong of Lemore, California, Delila and spouse Roy Botello of Clovis, New Mexico; brother, Manuel Aguilar of Littlefield, Texas; and sisters, Diane Montoya of Littlefield, Texas, Elizabeth Kittrell of Littlefield, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Manuela Aguilar; and brother, Louis Aguilar, Jr.

Funeral Mass for Consuelo will be held at 11:00a.m. on Monday, September 22, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Littlefield, Texas with Father Jeff Church officiating. Rosary will be recited at 6:00p.m. on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at Grace Chapel in the funeral home. Interment will be in Littlefield Memorial Park Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Roy Botello, Michael Padilla, Eugene Delossantos, Gilbert Herrera, Renne Delossantos, Joe Don Sierra, and Jesse Cantu.
