In Loving Memory Of  Dec. 12. 1951 ~ Jan. 27, 2023

Brenda Goheen, 71, of Littlefield and formerly of Olton, passed from this life on Friday, January 27, 2023, in Lubbock. Funeral services were held Monday morning, January 30, 2023, at Lubbock Primitive Baptist Church, in Lubbock, with Elder Kenny Venable officiating and under the care of Ramage Funeral Directors.

Brenda was born December 12, 1951, in Olton, Texas, to Roy and Wroena (Nichols) Thurman. She graduated from Olton High School in 1970. In her younger years, Brenda could be found riding horses and working cattle. Known for her witty sense of humor and love for Facebook, Brenda never missed an opportunity to share her words of wisdom or a silly joke. Her warm personality made it easy for her to connect and visit with others. Brenda served as the Lamb County Tax Assessor Collector from 2009 to 2021 and enjoyed attending work conferences. Spending time with her daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren was her greatest joy in life and she will be dearly missed.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Dustin Schreier.

Survivors include her daughter, Suzanne Venable and husband, Kenny of Lubbock; and her sister, Jane Peterson of Lubbock. She was blessed with three grandchildren: Shane Venable and Tera Rogers of Oak Point, Texas, Dyllon Smith and wife, Hailey of Providence Village, Texas, and Colton Smith and wife, Destiney of Olton; and six great-grandchildren: Ainsley, Beau, Kyller, Layne, Channing, and Hudsyn.
