Aurora Garza Gonzales, 93, of Olton, died Wednesday, November 16, 2022, in Olton, Texas. Rosary was said Friday evening, November 18, 2022, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, in Olton. Mass was celebrated at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 19, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, with Fr. Jeremy Trull officiating. Interment followed at Olton Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.

Aurora was born July 1, 1929, in Beeville, Texas, to Serafin and Bernadina (Ybarra) Garza.

On December 27, 1944, Aurora married Severo Ruiz Gonzales and they were married over 42 years. A lifetime Olton resident, Aurora was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. She was a talented quilter, seamstress, and made many dresses and quilts over the years. Aurora loved her garden, especially her roses, and she enjoyed drinking coffee with friends. Making cowboy bread was a specialty of Aurora's. She also liked jewelry, rings, and traveling to Canton.

Aurora was preceded in death by her parents, Serafin and Bernadina Garza; her husband, Severo Gonzales; daughter, Rumalda Saldivar; great-grandson, Devin Saldivar; sons-in-law, Enrique Perez, Sr. and Bill Stephens; grandson-in-law, Larry Delgado; five brothers; and some sisters.

Survivors include three sons, Pedro Gonzales and wife, Rosamaria of Garland, Ignacio Severo Gonzales and Jesus Gonzales, both of Olton; and five daughters, Elfida Perez of Olton, Janie Fall and her husband, Cecil Fuentez of Cleburne, Guadalupe Robbins and her husband, Steve Roquemore of Prosper, Elsa Gonzales-Stephens of Avinger, and JoAnn Gonzales of Aubrey. She was blessed with 18 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.
