In Loving Memory Of Amelia Alvear Bosquez

Amelia Alvear Bosquez, 91, of Littlefield passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2022 in Littlefield. She was born July 16, 1931 in Kenedy, Texas to Victor Alvear and Maria Elizono Alvear.
Amelia married Maximo Bosquez December 17, 1949. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially going to dances, weddings and celebrations. She was an excellent cook and made wonderful tamales and tacos. Amelia enjoyed watching gameshows on television and Novellas, and doing puzzles. She was a feisty woman who had a great memory. She especially loved when her grandson Michael would read scripture from the bible to her.
She is survived by a son, Marcello Bosquez and wife, Hortenica of Littlefield; two daughters, Mary Ybarra of Fort Worth and Alice Robles and husband, Jesse of Littlefield; seven grandchildren, Dwayne Ybarra of Fort Worth, Jessica Kimsey of New Braunfels, Olivia Garcia of Richmond, Michael Robles of Littlefield, Mikey Bosquez of Lubbock, Stephen Bosquez of Lubbock and Desiree Valadez of Fort Worth; seventeen great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; three brothers, Robert Alvear of Kenedy, Ramon Alvear of Kenedy and Ruben Alvear of Beevile; four sisters, Alice Puentes of Poth, TX, Angie Posada, Jamie Garcia and Gloria Castillo all of Florida; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband on August 25, 2003; a son, Ricardo Bosquez; her parents; three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral Services were held Monday afternoon, October 24, 2022 at First Baptist Church in Springlake with Felix Sanchez officiating. Interment was in Springlake cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Michael Robles, Shawn Kimsey, Jerry Garcia, Raul Jackson, Sergio Valdez and Adam Enloe. Arrangements were under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.
