Benito Aguilar Villarreal, Sr., 90 of Littlefield, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday, June 25, 2023. He was born May 25, 1933 to Gomicindo Villarreal and Natividad Aguilar in Rio Rico, Texas. He married Raquel Rodriquez in 1954 in Littlefield.
Benito owned and operated BA Villarreal Irrigation Services for 45 years. He enjoyed being outdoors fishing, camping, and boating. He loved to spend time with his family. He spent many hours reading his Bible and was passionate about sharing the Gospel to anyone who would listen. He was an Ordained Minister and served Churches in Levelland, Sunnyside, Anton, and Lubbock. He will be most remembered for being a humble servant of God. He took the command of being a fisherman of men literally. Through the lives he touched his legacy will live on.
Benito is survived by his wife, Raquel Villarreal; two sons, Benito Villarreal, Jr. (Diana) of Hereford, TX, and Francisco Villarreal (Minerva Quezada) of Littlefield, TX; three daughters, Elva (Danny) Ramos of Plainview, TX, Linda (Robert) Peña of Midlothian TX and Cristina Rodriquez of Georgetown, TX; sixteen grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren; and fifteen great-great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Julian Villarreal, Ernesto Villarreal, Urbano Villarreal, and Alberto Villarreal; five sisters, Maria Urbina, Santos Garcia, Simona Hernandez, Adela Villarreal, and Margarita Pierda.
Celebration of Life Services were held Thursday morning, June 29, 2023 at First Baptist Church in Littlefield with Pastor Benito Villarreal, Jr. officiating, Danny Ramos and Pastor Sam Rando assisting. Interment followed at Littlefield Memorial Park.
Serving as pallbearers were Francisco Villarreal, Sr., Francisco Villarreal, Jr., Joshua Villarreal, Danny Ramos, Adrian Ramos, Jeffrey Ramos, Omar Catano, Levi Ramos, Timothy Ramos, Jonathan Espinoza, Uriah Villarreal, Matthew Espionza, Dustin DeLeon, and Casey DeLeon. Serving as honorary pallbearer was Mark Posada. Arrangements were under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.
The Villarreal Family would like to extend their appreciation to Benito's nurse, Kori Haggard with Bridge Hospice, for taking such great care of him.
