In Loving Memory Of Dec. 28, 1989 ~ April 18, 2023
Michael Hobbs, Jr., 33, of Houston, passed away April 18, 2023 in Houston. He was born December 28, 1989 in Boise, Idaho.
Michael lived life on his terms. He was larger than life and loved others unconditionally without boundaries, and he loved hard. He was outspoken and stood behind what he believed in. He was a loyal and trusting friend, and accepted people for who they were and didn't judge others. He had friends from all walks of life and backgrounds. He was a hard worker who would get up every day and work to provide for his family. He was a heavy equipment operator and he loved what he did, and he was very skilled at it. Michael was a wonderful cook, loved to fish and enjoyed hanging out with family and friends. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. Most of all, he was a dedicated father, loving uncle and wonderful son.
He is survived by his mom, Shawna Johnson of Littlefield; dad, Henry Takagi; sons, Arjonte Hobbs of Houston and Jerome Laik-Oki; daughters, Mya Hobbs, Aryana Hobbs, Ar'ee Hobbs all of Houston and Robyn Hobbs of Idaho; maternal grandparents, Edie and Rod Cain of Idaho; two brothers, Joshua Takagi of Idaho and Isiah Becerra of Littlefield, Texas; two sisters, Nichole Hobbs of Idaho and Aundrea Wells of Georgia; and countless friends and extended family members.
Services to celebrate the life Michael lived with military honors will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday April 28, 2023 at Grace Chapel with Pastor Billy Montes officiating. Cremation will follow. Arrangements are under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.
