Federico Hernandez, 93, of Littlefield passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at home. He was born March 2, 1929 in Mexico to Pedro Hernandez and Felicitas Martinez Hernandez.
Federico married Maria Luisa in 1958 in Rio Grande, TX. The couple moved to Littlefield 43 years ago. He was a hardworker and liked to work in his yard. At 93 years old, he remained active and busy, and could often be found outside tending to something. Federico was an excellent storyteller and he loved telling stories of the “old days” and of his time in Mexico. He was proud of his heritage.
Funeral Mass was held at 11 a.m., Monday, June 27, 2022 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Littlefield with Father Angelo Consemino officiating. Rosary was recited at 6 p.m., Sunday evening at the funeral home. Arrangements were under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.
