Sheila Stephenson, 78, of Georgetown, Texas, passed away at home peacefully on June 25, 2022, surrounded by family. She was the wife of Douglas Stephenson and celebrated 56 years of marriage together on June 24, 2022.
Sheila was born in Ralls, Texas, on November8, 1943, to Forrest and lva Martin and was raised in Littlefield, Texas. She graduated Abilene Christian College in 1966 and served as a teacher until with her children. She later served as the secretary for the Georgetown Church of Christ for a decade where she was also a member for 40 years, involved in many ministries. She enjoyed being with family, was an avid reader, loved quilting and traveling. Sheila will be remembered as kind and lovmg with a welcommg smile for everyone. She had a beautiful voice, loved to sing and was an excellent cook.
She is survived by husband, Doug; daughter, Dena Silveri (Mike); son, Jay Stephenson (Tiffany); son-in-law, Craig Pullin; grandchildren, Leah Pullin, Cory Pullin (Franny), Elle Stephenson, Brock Silveri; sister, Sandra Carruth; and numerous nieces, nephews, and COUSinS.
Sheila was preceded in death by parents, Forrest and Iva Martin; daughter, Marla Pullin; and sister, Shelley Sailsbury.
Visitation will be held on June 30, 2022 from 6 to 8 p.m. at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July I, 2022 at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel at l 0 a.m. with burial to follow at 2 p.m. at the Lakeland Hills Cemetery in Burnet, Texas.
