Linda Jean Lawson, 66, of Amherst passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022 in San Antonio. She was born November 3, 1955 in New York State to Eric and Nancy McCauley.
Linda and her partner of 25 years, Jim Hall, moved to Amherst several years ago because they enjoyed the small town environment. The couple loved spending time together, and liked to listen to old time radio and enjoyed watching British Mysteries. They were avid Yankees fans, and never missed watching the game with each other. Linda was a simple woman who appreciated the small things in life, and loved to help others. She was a talented cook and baker, and would often share the goodies she made with friends and neighbors, especially at Christmas. She was a patriot, and spent her time making bracelets for Veterans and helping them in any way she could. Linda always had a smile on her face, and was kind and giving.
She is survived by her loving life partner, Jim Hall of Amherst.
Graveside services were held Tuesday afternoon, February 8, 2022 at Fairlawn Cemetery in Amherst. Arrangements were under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.
