Warren Jordan Meeks, 95, of Littlefield died peacefully December 31, 2021 in Lubbock. He was born September 8, 1926 in Burkburnett to Fred Meeks and Esther Jordan Meeks. He graduated from Albany High School in 1943 and served in the United States Army during World War II in the Philippines and occupied Japan.
He married Mary Josephine Vaughn on October 20, 1950 in Lubbock. After graduation from Texas Tech in 1952 he operated a family farm near Earth for 35 years. Baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1968, he began serving as a congregation elder in 1971. He was an avid reader and enjoyed photography.
Warren is survived by his wife, Jo of Littlefield; a daughter, Regina Ferrill and husband, Richard of Littlefield; a son, Fred Meeks of Austin; a granddaughter, Angela Meeks of Rosanky; two sisters, Ann Arnold of Lakeway and Lynn Perry of Sherman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Jane Campbell.
A private graveside service will be held January 15, 2022 at Muleshoe Memorial Park.
Cremation arrangements were under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.
