Church service for Wayne Swart, age 87, of Sudan, TX, is scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, 2021 at Sudan Church of Christ with Terry Wilson of Sudan officiating. Burial will be in Sudan Cemetery. He died Sunday, Dec. 19, 2021 in Sudan.

Wayne was born Aug. 22, 1934 in Lamb County, TX to Luke and Ruth (Condren) Swart. He married Wanda DeLoach in Amherst, TX on July 2, 1954. Wayne was a farmer all of his life. He was an avid tractor collector and loved taking his tractors to parades. He was a member of the South Plains Antique Tractor Association. Wayne was also a member of the Sudan ISD School Board, Five Area Telephone Co-op Board and President of the Sudan Senior Citizens Center. He volunteered at the Fibermax Museum of Agriculture and at the Harmony House on a weekly basis. Wayne was a member of the Sudan Church of Christ, where he was a Deacon and an Elder. Wayne loved playing the harmonica and yodeling. He enjoyed traveling, especially to Blue Haven and Port Aransas.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Aaron Swart and Glenn Swart.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Wanda; his two sons, Roger Swart and his wife, Marja of Abilene, TX and Terry Swart and his wife, Deanna of Sudan, TX; his daughter, Kathy Humphreys and her husband, James of Lubbock, TX; his seven grandchildren, Dustin Swart, Julie Sickles, Kelsey Swart, Shannon Swart, Haylee Contreras, Krystal Humphreys and Alyssa Humphreys; and his eleven great-grandchildren.
