Juan De Dios Perez, 69, of Littlefield went to be with Jesus and his babe, Gloria, in Heaven on Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2021. He was born June 22, 1952 in Fieldton, TX to Isabel Perez and Paula Barragan Perez.

Juan married his love, Gloria Silvas, on Jan. 7, 1977. He lovingly referred to her as “my babe”. Juan loved his family more than anything, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved being a “PaPaw” to them, and spending time with them. He never left his family without. Juan was also a loyal friend, and he loved people. He also loved his special cousin, Olga Perez, who he was close to. Juan enjoyed old cars, classic westerns, and softball games. He truly loved dancing, especially with his babe before she passed. Juan was known around town as the “candyman”, he always had a pocket full of suckers or gum to pass out. He worked at ACG and VTS in Littlefield, and he also proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. Juan always had a smile and laugh to share with those around him, and his generous love and kindness will always be missed.

Juan is survived by two daughters, Catherine Velazquez and husband, Luis of Milwaukee, WI and Priscilla Perez of Littlefield; two sons, Noel Perez and wife, Roxy of San Antonio, TX and Adrian Perez and wife, Sheila of Littlefield; sixteen grandchildren, Deana Velasquez, Luis Velasquez Jr., Miguel Velasquez, Vernica Perez, Christopher Perez, Mariah Weaver, Kolton Perez, Jamie Perez, Noelani Perez, Jade Perez, Jordan Perez, Mikey Perez, Darrius Perez, Amber Perez, Elijah Perez and Texas Perez; four great-grandchildren, Mila, Amina, Brilynn and DeShawn; two brothers, Ben Perez of Littlefield and Joe Perez of Lubbock; a sister, Manuela Dobesh of New Mexico; and numerous extended family and friends.

Waiting for him in Heaven was his babe, Gloria, who passed away March 18, 2009; his parents; four brothers, Ralph Perez, Jesse Perez, Sylvester Perez and Lencho Perez; and three sisters, Ramona Perez, Inez Galan and Josephina Martinez.

Celebration of life services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2021 at Grace Chapel in Littlefield with Pastor Billy Montes officiating. Cremation arrangements were under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.
