Grand Jury returns nine Indictments

The Lamb County Grand Jury met on Dec. 2, 2021 and returned a total of nine indictments on nine individuals for Lamb County’s 154th District Court.

Eddie Alvarado was indicted on a charge of Aggravted Robbery, that occurred on or about the 1 st day of October, 2021. Bond was set at $10,000.

Michael Burton was indicted on a charge of Burglary of a Building, that occurred on or about the 7 th day of November, 2021. Bond was set at $3,500.

Michelle Lynn Weidman was indicted on a charge of Burglary of a Building, that occurred on or about the 7 th day of November, 2021. Bond was set at $3,500.

Aaron Parker was indicted on a charge of Assault Family/House member impede breath/circulation, that occurred on or about the 5 th day of October, 2021. Bond was set at $1,500.

Rene Rosendo Gloria was indicted on a charge of Tamper/Fabricate physical evidence with intent to impair, that occurred on or about the 1 st day of November, 2021. Prior to the commission of the charged offense, on the 1 st day of February, 2016, in cause number DCR-5235-15 in the 154 th District Court of Lamb County, Texas, the defendant was finally convicted of the felony offense of Assault on a Public Servant; and it is further presented that, prior to the commission of the charged offense, on the 1 st day of Febrary, 2016, in cause number DCR-5372-15, in the 154 th Disctrict Court of Lamb County, Texas, the defendant was finally convicted of the felony offense of Burglary of a Habitation. Bond was set at $7,500.

Damon Leming was indicted on a charge of Possession of Marijuana >5Lbs<=50Lbs, that occurred on or about the 14 th day of October, 2021. Bond was set at $5,000.

Nathaniel Leming was indicted on a charge of Possession of Marijuana >5Lbs<=50Lbs, that occurred on or about the 14 th day of October, 2021. Bond was set at $5,000.

Ruben JR Soto was indicted on a charge of Possession of Assault Family/Household member prev conv IAT, that occurred on or about the 8 th day of November, 2021. Before the commission of the charged offense, the defendant had previously been convicted of an offense under Chapter 22 of the Texas Penal Code, against a member of the defendant’s household and person with whom the defendant has or has hada dating relationship, as described by Sections 71.005 and 71.0021(b) of the Texas Family Code, namely on the 13 th day of September, 2021, in the county Court of Lamb County, Texas in cause number CCR-17911; and it is further presented that, prior to the commisssion of the charged offense, on the 22 nd day of July, 2015, in cause number 4684 in the 154 th District Court of Lamb County, Texas, the defendant was finally convicted of the felony offense of Aggravated Assault with a deadly Weapon. Bond was set at $15,000.

Gregory Shane Bell was indicted on a charge of Assault Fam/ House mem Impede Breath/Circulation, that occurred on or about the 5 th day of August, 2021. It is further presented that, prior to the commission of the charged offense (hereafter styled the primary offense), on the 27 th day of February, 2003, in cause number 2002-439,923 in the 364 th District Court of Lubbock County, Texas, the defendant was finally convicted of the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 1-4g; it is further presented that, prior to the commission of the primary offense, and after the conviction in cause number 2002-439,923 was final, the defendant committed the felony offense of Possession/Transport of Chemical with Intent to Manufacture a Controlled Substance PG!, and was finally convicted on the 17 th day of September, 2009, in cause number 4503 in the 154 th District Court of Lamb County, Texas; it is further presented that, prior to the commission of the primary offense, and after the conviction in cause number 4503 was final, the defendant committed the felony offense of Escape While arrested/confined – felony, and was finally convicted on the 30 th day of August, 2013, in cause number DCR-4980-13 in the 154 th Disctrict Court of Lamb County, Texas. Bond was set at $25,000.
