Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association (TSCRA) cooperates with the 254 County Court Clerks offices to provide the Texas Brand Registration site.

Texas does not have a statewide brand registry database. Texas counties may have county-level brand archives. This website is a service to the livestock producers of Texas to learn about the brand registration process and laws in this state.

Every 10 years, Texas requires that brands be re-registered in the county or counties in which you operate.

Pursuant to Texas Agricultural Code 144.044 all marks, brands, and tattoos currently registered with the County Clerk will expire after August 30, 2021.

The renewal period for your mark/brand/tattoo is August 31, 2021, through February 28, 2022. Any previously recorded marks/ brand/tattoos which have not been re-registered by the deadline of February 28, 2022, will be considered unclaimed and eligible for registration by another. (Once reregistered, your brand will be good until August 30, 2031.)

Please note: Some counties are now offering online brand re-registration. Contact the Lamb County Clerk, Tonya Elaine Ritchie, 100 6th Drive, Room 103, Littlefield 79339, (806) 385-4222 Ext. 214, FAX: (806) 385-6485.
