LAMB COUNTY COURT Waivers of Jury Trials

On Oct. 6, 2021, Jayz Verne Vera entered a guilty plea to the offense of Attempted Smuggling of Persons – Lesser Included Offense, that occurred on July 22, 2021.

In exchange for the defendant’s guilty plea, the state recommends that the defendant be assessed punishment, fines, cost, restitution and findings as herein indicated.

Found to be guilty by the court, she was sentenced to 60 days in the Lamb County Jail. She must also pay court costs in the amount of $290.

On Oct. 14, 2021, Mike Anthony Reyna entered a guilty plea to the offense of Man Del CS PG1 >=1G<4G, that occurred on Sept. 6, 2018.

In exchange for the defendant’s guilty plea, the state recommends that the defendant be assessed punishment, fines, cost, restitution and findings as herein indicated.

Found to be guilty by the court, he was sentenced to 12 years in TDCJ, Correctional Institutions Division. He must also pay Restitution in the amount of $540 and court costs in the amount of $290.

On Oct. 14, 2021, Ricky Lucio entered a guilty plea to the offense of Assault Bi Employee/Contractor Civ Com Facility, that occurred on Dec. 21, 2020.

Found to be guilty by the court, he was sentenced to 4.5 years in TDCJ, Correctional Institutions Division. He must also pay court costs in the amount of $290.

On Oct. 25, 2021, Richard Lee Pherguson entered a guilty plea to the offense of Tamper/Fabricate Phys Evid w/intent to impair, that occurred on May 20, 2020.

On Nov. 22, 2021, Baldomero Rendon Munoz entered a guilty plea to the offense of Agg Assault, that occurred on Sept. 22, 2019.

Found to be guilty by the court, he was sentenced to 3.5 years in TDCJ-ID. He must also pay Reimbursement fees in the amount of $650 and court costs in the amount of $290.

On Nov. 29, 2021, Abel Isaiah Flores entered a guilty plea to the offense of Poss CS PG1<1G, that occurred on Jan 30, 2020.

In exchange for the defendant’s guilty plea, the state recommends that the defendant be assessed punishment, fines, cost, restitution and findings as herein indicated.

Found to be guilty by the court, he was sentenced to 24 months in TDCJ State Jail. The sentence of confinement was suspended, and the defendant was placed on Community Supervision for two years. He must also pay Reimbursement fees in the amount of $15, Restitution in the amount of $180 and court costs in the amount of $290.

Deferred Adjudication

Nov. 3, 2021: In exchange for Ryan Pete Cristan waiving the right to trial by jury, and entering a guilty plea to the offense of aggravated assault date/family/house w/ weapon, that occurred on July 24, 2021, the state recommended that the court finds that there is evidence to substantiate a finding of guilt, but defer that finding for a period.

The adjudication of guilt was deferred, and the defendant was placed on Deferred Adjudication Community Supervision for 10 years. He is also ordered to pay Reimbursment fees in the amount of $765 and $290 for court costs.

Nov. 8, 2021: In exchange for Cassandra Gonzales waiving the right to trial by jury, and entering a guilty plea to the offense of Poss CS PG1<1G, that occurred on March 11, 2021, the state recommended that the court finds that there is evidence to substantiate a finding of guilt, but defer that finding for a period.

The adjudication of guilt was deferred, and the defendant was placed on Deferred Adjudication Community Supervision for two years. She is also ordered to pay a fine of $250, Reimbursment fees in the amount of $515, $290 for court costs and restitution in the amount of $180.
