Richard Claudio Soria, 60, lifelong resident of Littlefield passed away Saturday, Dec. L l, 2021 in Littlefield. He was born May 15, 1961 in Del City, Texas.

Richard married Maria Esparza June 4, 2021 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, Notre Dame fan and Texas Longhorn fan. He also loved the Littlefield Wildcats and was awarded All State Offense in High School. He enjoyed barbequing and being with his family. Family was most important to him, especially his grandchildren. He valued education and wanted all of his family to succeed. Richard was a catholic, and a member of Sacred Healt Catholic Church in Littlefield.

He is survived by his wife, Maria Soria ofLittlefield; sons, Nathan Soria and wife, Beth of Ridgecrest, CA,Alex Maldonado and wife, Rosa Linda of Lubbock and Adam Maldonado ofLittlefield; daughters, Crystal Delgado and husband, Joe of Lubbock and Kelly Maldonado and husband, Brian of Garland, TX; ten grandchildren; three brothers, Jerry Soria ofLittlefield, Luis Soria of Lubbock and Rosendo Soria of Clovis, NM; two sisters, Juana Contreras of Bovina and Maria Ortega ofLittlefield; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Adela Soria; two brothers, Arthur Soria and Javier Soria and a sister, Julia Chavez.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m., Friday Dec. 17,2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Brian Wood officiating. Interment will follow in Littlefield Memorial Park Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Reyna, Alex Maldonado, Chris Ortega, Anthony Navarrete, Elijah Torres and Jeremy Soria.

Rosary will be recited Thursday evening at 7 p.m., at Grace Chapel at Hillcrest. Arrangements are under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.
