Deadlines for Gingerbread House Contest at Library is Dec. 16 at 5 p.m.

The Lamb County Library in Littlefield is sponsoring its seventh Annual Gingerbread House Contest, and is inviting children to use their skills in building a Gingerbread House for the contest.

The contest will be held during “Christmas on the Square” and the Library’s Open House on Thursday, Dec. 16 th .

“The (gingerbread houses) don’t necessarily need to be made of gingerbread, they can be made of cardboard, Rice Krispy treats, or anything else, that they can make it look like a Gingerbread House, after it is decorated,” advised Librarian, Candy Seth.

Each of the age categories to receive first, second and thirdplace prizes are ages 4 thru 7; ages 8 thru 11; and ages 12 thru 16.

Entry forms are available at the Library, 110 E. 6th Street, or call the library at 385-5223 for answers to any questions.

The deadline to have the Gingerbread House at the Library for the contest, is 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, 2021.

Winners will be announced after judging takes place that evening.

Masks are not mandatory, but can be worn if a person chooses to do so.
