AURORA MEDRANO

Aurora Medrano, 78, of Olton and formerly of New Orleans, Louisiana, died Monday, Dec. 6, 2021, in Olton, TX. Rosary will be said at 6 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 12, 2021, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Olton. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Monday, Dec. 13, 2021, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church with Fr. Jeremy Trull officiating. Interment will follow at Olton Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors. Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 12, at Ramage Funeral Directors in Olton.

Aurora was born July 11, 1943, in Karnes County, TX, to Serbando and Josefa (Zamora) Casares. She married Anastacio Medrano in July of 1960. Aurora was a carpet layer for many years before retiring in 1990. Moving to Olton in 2005 from New Orleans, Aurora was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed watching old western movies and Elvis Presley, sewing and watching the Dallas Cowboys and New Orleans Saints.
