Billie Maxine Spann Hutto, 93, of Littlefield went to be with her Lord Tuesday, November 23, 2021. She was born March 11, 1928 in Littlefield to Leroy Lewis Hall Spann and Eva Lee Renfro Spann.

When she was 15, Maxine met “a tall good-looking boy from Whitharral”, Doyce Oren Hutto, and the couple married January 14, 1944. She lived on the same property her whole life, the farm out east of town, where she was raised and where they raised their family. Together they raised cotton, grain, pigs, and chickens and a large garden that supplied fresh produce for a lot of Littlefield customers. Maxine was a talented seamstress, and hemmed many pants, altered many garments, but most of all altered many lives that came into her acquaintance. They were deeply rooted in the Littlefield community, rich in family, which was always their first priority. Maxine was baptized at First Baptist Church in Littlefield in 1950 with Doyce. She maintained a strong faith her whole life and that steadfastness has continued through generations.

Waiting for her in Heaven was her husband, Doyce Hutto who passed away February 20, 1999; her parents; and a sister, Nadine McDonough.

She is survived by a son, Doyce Wayland Hutto and wife, Sherlyn of Fountain, CO; two daughters, Linda Carol King of Lubbock and Kimberley Ann Hutto Schmoekel of Pooler, GA; ten grandchildren, Joel Alexander King of Idalou, Heather Nicole King McGee of Abilene, Whitney Lynnae King Barron of Shallowater, Samuel Allen Hutto of Pep, Amy Lynn Hutto Sandlin of Liberty Hill, Deanna Joy Hutto Gott of Lake Charles, LA, Stephen Paul Hutto of Fountain, CO, Naomi Grace Hutto Shea of Littlefield, Micah Luke Hutto of Fountain, CO and Phillip Mark Hutto of Fowler, CO; forty-seven great grandchildren; thirteen great-great grandchildren; and a multitude of nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Services were held at 10 a.m., Saturday November 27, 2021 at First Baptist Church in Littlefield. Interment followed in Littlefield Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers were Allen Hutto, Stephen Hutto, Micah Hutto, Mark Hutto, Tymber King, and Stephen Hutto, and honorary pallbearer were Joel King. Arrangements were under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.
