What are you thankful for?

With everything going on in the world it is easy to overlook how many blessings we have in our lives. I know personally, I get caught up in work and just the day-to-day and always being on the go, that sometimes I forget to sit back and just enjoy what is going on right in front of me.

I’m very blessed right now with two beautiful, handsome boys in our life and an amazing wife that holds it together when I’m gone working. I also have an amazing family and support system.

People around Lamb County gave their responses to what they are thankful for:

Jaron Cabello, a senior at Littlefield High School said, “First off there are a lot of things I’m thankful for. I’m thankful for not just my friends and close people, but mostly my family.”

He added, “They push me to be my best. They do a lot more than you could ever know. I’m just so appreciative of them. Even if it is just the small things. I love all of them and wouldn’t trade The world for any of them. That’s what I’m thankful for.”

Ari Villafranco stated, “I’m thankful for my ex-coaches giving me the opportunity to be an intern coach. I know this will definitely help me get my foot in the door once I’m done with college. I’m also thankful for the ones who have helped me with my tuition for college; y’all are much appreciated.”

Littlefield senior, Ty’Jae Chambers, said that he is thankful for his family.

Amherst senior, Jaime Garcia, explained, “I’m thankful for my family, my friends and my girlfriend.”

Mark Warsing said, “I’m thankful for my family, my job and the Lord our God.”

Teresa McNabb expressed, “I am thankful for my family passed on and present. My grandparents, parents, aunts and uncles taught me a work ethic, respect of what is right and wrong, my elders, manners, and to believe in God. All of my family worked hard, loved their family, and expressed their faith. For that I am truly Thankful.”

Marisa Lopez of Littlefield said, “Everyday I’m thankful for my family and that I get another day to see my babies grow.”

Alicia Longoria stated, “I’m thankful for my family, for the fact the God is working on my husband to be a better Christian, husband and father and last but not least I’m thankful for my new job, no regrets.”

Erica Chambers said, “I am Thankful for the family that God has blessed me with. There have been so many deaths this pass year, it’s a blessing just to still be here and getting to spend time with family and friends. May God Bless us all.”

Littlefield Head Softball Coach Keith Logan said, “I’m thankful for my family and the opportunity to be working in a career field that I enjoy.”

Olivia Duran of Littlefield said, “I am thankful for my three beautiful kids, and my amazing husband. I am thankful for our health and that we are all together this Thanksgiving.

Whitharral fourth grader, Layla Duran said, “I’m thankful for having family time and having her friends around.”

Margo Lopez of Littlefield said “I’m thankful for my kiddos and my family. I’m also thankful for my boyfriend Daniel and his boys who have came into our lives. Tomorrow is never promised so I want all of my family to know how thankful I am for them.”
