St. Philip Neri Catholic Church of Pep, Texas is known for its annual Thanksgiving Day Festival.

This year, again, it will only be holding its annual sausage sales on Wednesday, Nov. 24, the day before Thanksgiving, when Pep’s well-known German sausage, popular breakfast sausage, Pepseasoned sauerkraut and homemade bread loaves will be for sale from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. in the parish hall.

Ladies of the Parish will also have home-baked cakes, pies, cinnamon rolls, and other goodies to sell.

Cash or checks only will be accepted for the sales, and all proceeds from the event will benefit the church.

A raffle drawing will be held at the end of Wednesday’s sales, and winners will be notified.

Raffle prizes will include: a $500 Visa Gift Card and a Smart TV.

A donation of $5 for one ticket, or five tickets for $20, may be purchased from any church member, and all day on the 24th during sausage sales. Winners do not have to be present to win.

Members of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church made a difficult decision to discontinue the Annual Thanksgiving Day meal due to unforeseen circumstances.

“Your understanding is appre-ciated. We are immensely grateful for the support we received during the past 75 years. Plans are to continue the annual sausage and sauerkraut sales.” said members of the Parish.

Pep is located in northwestern Hockley County on FM 303. To arrive, going west from Littlefield on FM 54, turn south onto FM 303; while going from Highway 114, turn north onto FM 303.

The Parish Hall’s address is FM 303 and St. Phillips Road.
