One person injured in shooting, hospitalized
Littlefield Police Department is continuing to investigate a Driving While Intoxicated and Shooting event that officers were dispatched to at 5:57 p.m. Saturday. Feb. 20, 2021, at 1100 S. Wicker Avenue.
A news release from the Littlefield Police Department notes that the names and charges of the victim and suspect are being withheld, pending further investigation.
An intoxicated driver and another motorist were involved in a verbal argument after the intoxicated driver’s vehicle struck the other vehicle.
A shot was fired and one person was injured. That person was transported to UMC in Lubbock by Littlefield EMS. The intoxicated driver fled the scene of the accident.
The police department’s news release notes that one subject was released, pending further investigation and the filing of charges.
The other subject was released, pending the filing of charges due to medical considerations.
