John Roley’s AutoCenter in Littlefield’s annual Toy Drive is underway now until Dec. 16th.
“Every year Chevrolet does `Stuff the Silverado’, General Manager Pat Sullivan said.
All of the toys that are collected in this area, stay in this area.
“We give the toys to the Lamb County Sheriffs Department and they hand them out,” he explained.
For the past 16 years, John Roley’s AutoCenter of Littlefield has been a part of the Toys for Tots Toy Drive.
“In the past we did the drive for Toys for Tots, but all of the toys would end up in Lubbock and never come back here, so we decided it was time to collect the toys for our needy children here in our town and community,” Sullivan said in a statement during last year’s toy drive.
He talked about how it makes them feel to see the community come together and deliver such a great amount of toys to help put a smile on so many children’s faces, saying, “That is the whole purpose of this, is to put a smile on a child’s face.”
He added, “2020 has not been a blessing for anybody, but we would like to end the year on a positive note, so that as many children as possible can have a bright Christmas.”
Donations can be dropped off at John Roley’s AutoCenter in Littlefield.
“You can bring any kind of new and unwrapped toys, bikes, balls, etc,” Sullivan said.
Sullivan also added that they are going to try and see if they can set up barrels at Littlefield basketball games after Thanksgiving, like they have done in the past.
Donations will be taken until Dec. 16tth.
