June 30, 1938 ~ Nov. 6, 2025
In Loving Memory Of Johnny Tisdale, 87, of Littlefield, Texas, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 6, 2025. He was born on June 30, 1938, in Lamb County to Richmond 'RL' and Nora Tisdale.
Johnny was the youngest brother of his twelve siblings. He was a part of the Navy Reserves in his younger years of life. He married the love of his life, Mary Waters Tisdale, on December 14, 1958, in Anton, Texas. Being a provider for his family was what kept Johnny going. He was not known to be an idle person and was hardworking. For many years, Johnny worked at the American Cotton Growers denim plant in Littlefield. Moreover, he enjoyed farming because it gave him plenty to do. He always had livestock and appreciated the work that came along with tending to them.
Johnny was a long-time active member of the First Baptist Church in Littlefield. Much like Mary, Johnny loved Jesus and his family with all his heart. If Johnny could not be found visiting with his family, he was sure to be outdoors enjoying his surroundings. Not many have what is known as a 'green thumb,' but Johnny sure could make a garden flourish.
Those left to cherish his memories are his three sons, Ricky Tisdale and Kate of Littlefield, Texas, Terence Tisdale and Debi of Athens, Texas, and Steven Tisdale and Lynn of Lubbock, Texas; five grandchildren, Shawn, Shanna, Bryan, Claire, and Hannah; five great-grandchildren, Trent, Kyla, Isabel, Riley, and Rafe.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Tisdale; parents, Richmond 'RL' and Nora Tisdale; seven brothers; and five sisters.
