LHC Trunk-or-Treat Event set for Friday, Oct. 31 at 5 p.m.

The Lamb Healthcare Center “Team Builder’s” Safe Halloween Event, Trunk or Treat, will be held again this year in the parking lot in front of the hospital on October 31, 2025. Since 2012, the LHC Team Builders have been hosting the Trunk or Treat on Halloween day to promote a “Safe Halloween” for the children in our community and surrounding areas. We have grown over the past 13 years and hand out candy to over 350 children (or trick or treaters) in about 1 hours’ time.

These days, we cannot be careful enough with our children. Attending a “Trunk or Treat” whether it is handing out the treats or receiving the treats is safer for everyone. Trunk-or-treating takes place in a more controlled environment, which can help reduce the risk of kids wandering away from the group or approaching strangers’ homes. Children are less likely to receive candy from “strangers” at a trunk-or-treat event. And it’s an opportunity for families to spend quality time together.

We like to invite all businesses (or individuals) to set up their “trunks” in the front parking lot of Lamb Healthcare Center. The children (and grown-ups too) like to see all the trunks decorated along with the person(s) handing out the treats. We do ask to keep your vehicle decorations socially acceptable and kid friendly. We ask that there be no displaying profanity and/or overtly adult themes or content. Event staff maintain the right to ask participants with inappropriate decoration displays to remove the decorations or leave the event. Each trunk participant should arrive with wrapped candy to distribute to attendees (approximately 350- 400). Trunk participants will be permitted to distribute flyers, cards, or information advertising their group, business, or programs.

Trunk participants will not be permitted to sell any items from their cars or solicit cash or donations in any way. Trunk participants should arrive between 4 and 4:30 p.m. to decorate their vehicle/ trunks and in order to be prepared to begin passing out candy at 5 p.m. when the event begins. Vehicles may arrive as early as 3:30 p.m. should they require additional set-up time. We ask that no vehicles leave prior to 6 p.m. when the event ends to keep our children safe.

Every year we ask for donations from local business and surrounding areas to help us with this event. We are in need of donations again this year. Without these donations this event would not be possible. If you would like to donate to this event you can bring any donations to the hospital pharmacy department or dietary department, or you can call or email for us and we will pick up.

For more information or to reserve a spot to be a trunk participant please call Amy Rojas, Reynalda Silvas, or Elizabeth Vargas at (806) 385-6411,Ext. 2105 or email arojas@lambhc.org.
