Lamb County RSP Meeting set for Oct. 7

The October meeting of the Lamb County Retired School Personnel Meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 7 in the Fellowship Hall of the Littlefield Methodist Church. All retired school personnel of Lamb County Schools are welcome and encouraged to attend. Tim Walker will present the program—a review of the propositions and laws which will be voted on in November.

President Cindie Walker will preside over the meeting. Members are reminded to bring toys to each meeting this fall. The toys will be presented to Lamb County children in CPS at Christmas time.

After the discussion concerning the new yearbooks, it was voted that the yearbooks will be binders which will contain pertinent permanent information, and meeting and personnel information will be updated as needed.

At the meeting, members voted to participate in the Bake Sale at the Ag Center on October 25. Further discussion will be held at this meeting. Members also discussed expanding the scope of our Book Donations to the people of Lamb County to include children in grades PreK through Second in the elementary schools. Other suggestions were giving books to the Senior Center, to the Littlefield Blessing Box, to the Nursing home, and/or to Daycare centers. The books are purchased using the monies which members contribute at the meetings.

On October 21, Region XVII will hold the Fall Conference in Lubbock. Members are welcome to attend.
