Buster Nicholas, 92, of Plainview, TX and formerly of Olton, TX, died Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2025, in Olton. Graveside services were held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 23, 2025, at Olton Cemetery, with Mr. David Pinkerton officiating and under the care of Ramage Funeral Directors.
Buster was born July 16, 1933, in Olton, to Buck and Martha (Thurmond) Nicholas. He grew up farming and was a proud farmer most of his life. For the last 15 years, he worked at McCoy’s in Plainview.
On Dec. 14, 1951, he married Shirley Anne Dennis in Olton. In 1992, they moved to Plainview from Olton. Buster was a member of Northwest Church of Christ in Plainview. He also enjoyed tinkering with carpentry work.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife; two daughters; a son-in-law; four sisters; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
